“The new ConSpare outer wall plates are far lighter and easier to handle which makes a big difference as it’s very cramped in the mixer. There’s no doubt they’re safer with less risk of strains and trapped fingers. Wear is localised at the bottom of the plate so now I only replace the lower section which saves money and reduces waste”.

Risk assessments at a leading slab manufacturer identified manual handling of 90kg wall plates in a 750ltr planetary mixer was unacceptable. ConSpare were asked to re-design mixer wear plates to facilitate safer handling in confined space.
